More Reasons Why English is a Hard Language to Learn!

When learning anything new, you might experience a few challenges along the way. However, when learning to read English, there are many reasons why you might find it hard. English is a challenging language to learn, not only for children but also adults, and ESL readers as well.

The Nardagani Reading Program is designed to eliminate the guesswork involved in reading. The program is comprised of 12 simple symbols, used below letters, that allow the reader to know which sound to make. Students learn a few symbols at a time. They memorize the symbols through exercises, games, and reading books coded with the symbols. Once students learn the first few symbols, they work on sounding out words, and increase their list of sight words.

There are many reasons why English is a hard language to learn. Here are a few:

English has a lot of irregular verbs. This means that there are many verbs that don't follow the same rules as other verbs. For example, the verb "to go" is irregular, so the past tense is "went" and the past participle is "gone."

English has a lot of homophones. Homophones are words that sound the same but have different meanings. For example, the words "to" and "too" sound the same, but "to" is a preposition, while "too" is an adverb.

English has a lot of silent letters. Silent letters are letters that are not pronounced in a word. For example, the "k" in "knife" is silent.

English has a lot of exceptions to the rules. This means that there are many rules in English that don't always apply. For example, the rule that you should add "s" to the end of a noun to make it plural doesn't always work. There are some nouns that don't have an "s" in the plural, such as "people" and “sheep."

English has a complicated grammar system. English has a lot of rules about how words are put together to form sentences. These rules can be difficult to learn, especially for people who come from languages with different grammar systems.

English has a large vocabulary.

English has a lot of words, and many of them are borrowed from other languages. This can make it difficult to learn all the words you need to know to speak English fluently.

English has a lot of slang and idioms. Slang and idioms are words and phrases that have special meanings in English. They can be difficult to understand if you are not familiar with them. Examples of idioms are: Turn over a new leaf and Pardon my French.
